Special note...All Suzuki GS 4 valve models require the valve guides to sit lower in the head with cam lifts above .370". APE guides sit low enough in the head to clear all cams listed. APE titanium retainers allow about .030" additional valve travel.

PRO MOD VALVE SPRINGS

APE introduces its Pro Mod valve spring for use in aftermarket 2 valve drag race heads. They are designed to be used with APE special "offset" retainers, and when set up with 1.540" valve height, produces 170 lbs seat pressure and will handle .660" lift.

These springs are designed for Pro mods and Pro Extreme drag bikes

These springs and retainers fit only aftermarket heads; Vortex 2, V&H, Gann, etc. Not oem castings

The APE offset titanium retainers fit APE, Manley and all other two valve pro mod springs.

TITANIUM VALVE SPRING RETAINERS -

APE valve spring retainers are machined from aircraft quality titanium bar stock in the APE plant on the latest state of the art computerized CNC machinery.CNC machining allows us to offer such advantages as bored taper keeper holes for exact keeper fit.
Special gauging fixtures allow dimensions to be held close to provide exact installed heights when assembling the cylinder head. APE titanium retainers are shorter than stock to provide additional retainer to valve guide clearance for high lift cams.
APE is the only manufacturer of motorcycle retainers that also builds cylinder heads.
We know how they have to fit, how they have to clear the bucket, etc. No other manufacturer can offer this expertise.

SHIM-UNDER TAPPETS

APE tappets locate the shim under the tappet to eliminate the possibility of the shim being spit out of the cylinder head. This is a must with cam lifts over .430 in a GS1000. APE tappets require use of APE titanium valve spring retainers.
